Nous suivons pendant deux années, la métamorphose de 6 adolescents jusqu’ à l’âge adulte. Tous ont en commun un parcours difficile. Ils vont apprendre à surmonter leurs blessures et s’intégrer. Il s’agit d’un témoignage sur la rébellion contre l’autorité. Le ton se veut léger et humoristique.

We follow for two years the metamorphosis of six teenagers until adulthood. All have in common a difficult journey. They will learn how to overcome their wounds and integrate themselves. This is a testimony on the rebellion against authority. The tone is light and humorous.

Des gens sont retournés vivre et travaillent dans la zone interdite bien que la radioactivité y soit toujours fortement présente. Un café a ouvert ses portes à dix kilomètres de la centrale. Ici se croisent ceux qui ont choisi d’y vivre au péril de leur vie.

30 years after the nuclear disaster, Chernobyl, life has resumed. The people returned to live  and work in the forbidden zone. Radioactivity is yet still strongly present. A café opened at ten kilometers from the plant. This is where intersect and found those who chose to live and defy death daily.

Alexander Zeletsov nous livre avec émotion et retenue, l’expérience qu’il a vécue le jour même de la catastrophe. Il était l’opérateur en chef du réacteur n°4 qui a explosé. Quelques heures après l’accident, il a été appelé pour venir déblayer les déchets radioactifs à la centrale. Son récit nous éclaire sur l’horreur de la catastrophe mais aussi sur dans les retombées sociales et sanitaires.

Alexander Zeletsov delivers with emotion and restraint the experience that he lived the very day of the disaster. He was the operator in chief of the No. 4 reactor that exploded. A few hours later the accident he was called to come and clear the radioactive waste at the plant. His story sheds light on the horror of the disaster but also in the social and health consequences.
